Natural Lip balm recipe.

I have never really liked wearing Lip balm, and I think it's because it would always dry out my lips and then I would have to re-apply over and over. So I decided to make my own Lip balm that was natural and wouldn't leave me with dried out lips.
I found a similar recipe to the one I've posted here, and I modified it to the way I wanted it.

Ingredients
2 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp of shaved Beeswax
1-2 small drops of honey
5-6 drops of essential oil (optional)
1 small container like and empty lip balm tube or an Altoids Smalls tin.

Mix all of the ingredients (except for the essential oil) in a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup. Microwave for 1-2 minutes or until everything is melted. Pour the mixture into the container and let it set for a couple of hours or put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
I made one without essential oil and one with peppermint oil. They were both very moisturizing and I was happy that they didn't dry out my lips.

Make your own natural Deodorant.

Most Deodorants you use have ingredients that are not safe for your body. The main active ingredient in most of your anti perspirant deodorants is "Aluminum Zirconium" which can actually block the sweat glands of your underarms. Now you may think this is a good thing, but in truth, it's important for your body to excrete waste and release toxins. I discovered a recipe for natural deodorant about four months ago and have been using it since. It took a couple of weeks before it really started to work, but now it works so much better then any other deodorant I've used. I would defiantly recommend this recipe for anyone who is sensitive to deodorant or anyone who is trying to go natural.

Ingredients.
1/4 cup of Baking soda
1/4 cup of Cornstarch
2-3 tbsp of Coconut oil
3-5 drops of essential oil (optional)

In a small bowl, mix the Baking soda, Cornstarch, and the Coconut oil. Once you have mixed all the clumps out you can add the essential oil. I used an Orange essential oil, but I would recommend somthing gentler, like Lavender or Vanilla. Once everything is mixed, find a small jar or another container, and put the mixture into the container.
You can store the Deodorant in the fridge or in room temperature. I store it on my dresser and use it after a shower. I hope that this recipe will be useful for you or anyone you know that wants to try a healthier lifestyle.

Dealing with a Cold the natural way.

I've had a cold since last Monday, and It's finally starting to go away. I have found some pretty good ways to get over a cold faster and also build up my immune system. The first thing is to take a good amount of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is very good at helping build a stronger immune system. Of coarse you should drink plenty of water when you've come down with just about any illness, but I found a particular drink that really soothes a sore throat. It's basically a hot lemonade. All you need to make it is, hot water, about half a lemon's amount of juice, and some honey.
One of the best things to take if you want to get over a cold even faster is Olive leaf extract. It works so well! You can usually get some at Walmart.
Also Sweating out a cold helps. If you go to bed with a hot water bottle, it works pretty well.
I hope this post was informative for all my readers, and I hope that if you get a cold this season you'll know what to do.
